2016 Color Trends

Looking through some of the wedding files for the upcoming year, I’ve been trying to pick out some commonalities and trends to share. We’re seeing a lot of last year’s trends eek into the spring and summer months for 2016. Again with the peaches, ivories and blush colors. That beautiful romantic vintage trend. Peonies take center stage again, and rightfully so. Who doesn’t love the look of those huge, sweet, ruffly blooms?

We as designers love those colors, flowers, and the styles that come with them. They make every wedding beautiful and the finished product excites us every time. However, we are also excited about the Pantone Colors of the Year for Spring 2016. The colors on this palette thrilled and inspired us here at the shop.

Can everyone say “Yum!”? They are all so complimentary to each other and easy to pair. All of the possibilities as you mentally picture those colors at your favorite venue, with your wedding dress or contrast them to your bridesmaids dresses provoke goosebumps.

But, before you rush off to pinterest to start blowing up your “Wedding” board with these colors, we want to share some flowers with you that we feel are beautiful ways of bringing these colors into your bouquets, centerpieces and ceremony flowers.

Don’t miss our bridal bouquets in the spring issue of “Hitched”. We had fun with the Pantone Colors of the Year. The first bouquet uses a beautiful blend of “Lilac Gray” and “Iced Coffee” while adding a little bit of “Green Flash”. The other bouquet is a mix of a dusty “Rose Quartz” and “Snorkel Blue”.
